Job Description:

The JRSS Operations Bridge Manager provides operational and technical oversight of the most dynamic Cyber Center in the U.S. Army. Our JRSS OBMs are seasoned network professionals who are senior members of the RCC staff. This unique position will support a 4/10 workweek schedule with extreme flexibility to adapt to the operational tempo. JRSS OBMs must:

  • Use their networking background to make sound decisions with regard to incident response in the JRSS environment.
  • Serve as the first line of defense in conjunction with the wide area network management (WANMAN) team when it involves the JRSS environment during and outside of core duty hours.
  • Work with DISA partners and higher commands to establish working relationships in order to minimize down time on the network.
  • Participate in working groups to establish roles and responsibilities and create executable processes.
  • Are flexible and work shifts making themselves available for all things JRSS related.
  • Will also fill traditional OBM roles when necessary.•Make sound decisions with regard to service delivery and incident response.
  • Ensure situational understanding is obtained in order to ensure proper prioritization of incidents, ensure that resources are assigned appropriately towards incident resolution, and operational impact is understood.
  • Monitor, approve and manage Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI), Commander's Critical Information Reports (CCIR), and Network Bulletins (NB) for the CONUS Theater.
  • Be an outgoing individual who enjoys problem solving and helping people.
  • Have a good overall knowledge of Information Technology, enjoy being in a position of great responsibility, and have the ability to work closely as a team.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS + ^ or AA/AS or BA/BS +2 years IT technical/operations experience, or 2 years ,military operations and technical experience.
  • Ability to work with all levels of NETCOM infrastructure
  • Work independently and act as manager-on-duty outside of core duty hours
  • Must possess basic overall IT knowledge
  • Must be highly organized and adaptive to change
  • Be positive, focused, and an engaging team player is a must
  • Possess strong documented history working in networking
  • ITIL Foundations V3 preferred
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift (mission will dictate)
  • Ability to engage Operations Centers at all levels to resolve customer issues
  • Monitor contract staff in the network operations center (NOC) during core duty hours
  • Monitor all personnel in the network operations facility (NOF) outside core duty hours

 

Clearance:

  • Position requires a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
