Bulls Eye Recruiting is recruiting for a Manufacturing Sales Rep Manager based in Cedar Park, Texas.  This role is remote and could be based in Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis, or Denver.  Our client is a trusted leader in industrial embedded computing and ensures success by manufacturing and designing long-life motherboards, systems and custom turn-key solutions that help customers make the most of their applications.  This role will be managing an indirect sales force (independent reps with rep firms that own their OWN P&L). 

The purpose of this role is to develop our client's outside representation channels to grow existing business by 100+%. The focus is on being a board level solution provider, a world class system level design, integration company that focuses on regional accounts per reps in various regions which include the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe.

Some of the duties that will be performed are as follows:

  • Evaluate performance of existing Reps, and non-producing Reps.
  • Create an Outside Rep analysis for existing company Reps – hunting capabilities, synergistic lines, farming capabilities, ability to uncover leads, ability to uncover new opportunities in existing accounts
  • Develop Rep Metrics for evaluating and reporting performance
  • Hire and develop a Rep channel throughout the US, Canada, So. America and Europe
  • When traveling report in to VPS daily, either at office or cell
  • Attend trainings, shows and seminars as indicated
  • Rep Metrics - staff report due by email highlighting previous week’s activities, at close of Business Fridays
  • Establish house account criteria and procedures
  • Establish Design registration program
  • Create and conduct Rep training webinar’s once quarterly
  • Travel to each Rep quarterly as a goal
  • When traveling, strive for 3 meetings per day. (Requirement 3 meetings per day to travel unless otherwise approved)
  • Travel a minimum of a week or more a month
  • Critical/500K+ accounts are to be visited quarterly
  • Co-work/co-develop a strategy with Inside Technical Sales for increasing existing business in existing accounts
  • Create a plan with outside Reps and Inside Technical sales for targeting strategic prospects, for each of client's Regional Sales Manager
  • Work with client's IT to create Outside Rep reports, present Rep reports to client's Reps monthly
  • Create a program to pay Outside Reps on qualified leads
  • Create a program to incentive Outside Reps to uncover and close additional projects in existing accounts
  • Track opportunities verses closes, by Rep
  • Track quality of business, by Rep
  • Create a “Best in Class” Rep program
  • Create a new Rep Customer Presentation for field use
  • Develop a “sample” Development program for Reps (development kit)
  • Manage all Outside Rep issues and grievances
  • Create metrics for all outside reps
  • Work closely with Inside Technical Sales to quote OEM’s, quote through outside Rep
  • Work with Inside Technical Sales and outside Reps managing technical issues with engineering
  • Participate in Roadmap meetings bringing your knowledge from the field
  • Share ideas on branding, packaging, customization from field input
  • All customers meetings are to be set up in the calendar Outlook, with VPS invited.
  • Identify partners that are synergistic to our products lines ie. Software, peripherals
  • On site visits to client's site as needed
