Bulls Eye Recruiting is representing a private family foundation based in Austin that primarily funds organizations in Texas focused on the arts, education, the environment, and social services. Our client is also proud to support the development of rural Texas through our signature portfolio of grants benefitting communities in the Permian Basin and Trans Pecos regions.

Who You Are:

The Finance and Operations Manager (FOM) is enthusiastic about managing financial and operational systems, processes, administration, and internal controls in service of the organization's mission. The FOM enjoys contributing as a valuable member of a team lead by the CEO and supported by an exceptional group of lawyers and accountants. The FOM’s role is to ensure the day-to-day business and financial operations of the organization run effectively and efficiently. The position requires an advanced problem-solver who can think critically and is comfortable working under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Summary:

The Finance and Operations Manager will report to Still Water’s Chief Executive Officer. As described below, the primary functions of this role are in support of the foundation’s financial and operational procedures with a secondary focus on general human resources tasks.

Essential Responsibilities and Opportunities Include the Following:

Business & Finance Operations (75%)

• Execute all bookkeeping duties including bill pay, monthly bank reconciliations, etc.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for CEO and Board of

Directors

• Serve as point of contact with CPA firm coordinating external audit, Form 990 and other

finance/banking activities

• Manage syncing and integration of grant approval between the online grant portal and

QuickBooks to process and disburse grant awards

• Maintain archival and financial files

• Liaison with Wealth Managers and PE representatives for documents and reports

• Develop Investment Committee agendas with direction from CEO

• Serve as point of contact for insurance broker

• Serve as point person for cybersecurity protocols

Human Resources (25%)

• Oversee effective compliance with all federal and state labor laws

• Maintain employee records and files

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll via ADP

• Administer health insurance, 401K, and other employee benefits

Job Duties may include other tasks as appropriate

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and

experience

Minimum of ten years’ in financial management, accounting, bookkeeping, or

related area

• Experience in human resources, benefits, and/or related administration preferred

• Detailed oriented, systems thinker with a passion for spreadsheets, organizational

systems, and data integrity

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders,

including staff, board members, and external partners

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Self-starter, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
