What we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has written and executed scripted test cases for high-availability, customer-facing web, and mobile applications, and works well in a fast-paced, collaborative agile environment. An ability to understand and translate input from Product, Technical, and other stakeholders, and openly share insights, requirements, limitations, and capabilities in a way that keeps everyone working as a team focused on creating brilliant outcomes.

What you’ll Be Doing:

The primary responsibility of the Senior QA Engineer is to expand and improve our software QA methodologies, tools, and processes by understanding stakeholder, product, and engineering needs.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain well-written test cases and execute manual/automation testing
  • Engage in technical design & code reviews with a QA perspective
  • Participate in technical design and code reviews
  • Navigate and understand relational databases
  • Provide direction to offshore teams
  • Develop and maintain Selenium, Capybara, Watir and/or Rspec test scripts
  • Manage releases to staging and production environments.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, and be willing to present them to the technical staff
  • Positively contribute to our collaborative, fun environment

Technical Experience:

  • Progressive Software Engineering experience with an emphasis on QA and performance
  • A core background writing and executing test cases for manual/automation testing
  • Mastery of modern QA/testing, and Performance Monitoring tools
  • Prior experience optimizing and developing automation tools for high availability consumer-facing products is highly desired. 

Business and Communication Skills and Experience:

  • Current, and continually expanding knowledge of new trends, tools, and techniques
  • History of responsibility for successful communication across Tech and Product
  • Ability to clearly present new concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with the following is very helpful

Hiptest, Capybara, Saucelabs, Selenium, several Javascript Automation Frameworks
