Director of Pre-Construction - Mixed Use Residential

Consideration for Director of Preconstruction requires:

First, Good wood frame / residential cost and construction knowledge and estimating experience in the Boston market.

Second, a proven ability to fill holes and work well in the conceptual space before drawings are completed and design finalized.

Third, a firm grasp of technology and the ability to build quality relationships with partners and all members of our internal team. Communication, adaptability, and intelligence are critical to success.

Qualifications include

A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, or related business study

Familiarity and working experience with the major Architects and Design firms in the Boston Metro area

Five years minimum experience in the preconstruction and estimating of high density residential and mixed-use projects. 10+ years of highly relevant experience will be considered in lieu or Bachelor’s Degree

Current, solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, take off and estimating software and scheduling programs

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Auto Cad, Rivet, BIM, Procore are desired

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected

Ability to address and work on unanticipated challenges or changes in the work in progress
