Our client, an Omaha law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant with recent litigation experience. Candidate must be detail-oriented, multi-tasking, and a very organized team player.

Responsibilities & skills required of Legal Assistant:

  • 5+ years of recent Litigation experience

  • Associates Degree in Legal Studies required, 4 year college degree preferred.

  • Provide support to Attorneys focused in the area of employment litigation and immigration.

  • Assist in preparation of various legal documents and federal & state administrative filings.

  • Prepare for trial and arbitration through management of exhibits.

  • Prepare deposition outlines and summaries, coordinate third-party records and record subpoenas according to state and federal regulations.

  • Organize documents and data produced during discovery and provided responses to discovery requests.

  • Manage calendars, deadlines, court dates and preparing time sensitive materials.

  • Organize travel arrangements including flights, hotels, transportation etc.

  • Transcribe dictation, proofread documents and provided preparation and revision of correspondence, pleadings and documents.

  • Must have a solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

  • Ability to communicate with clients on a daily basis.
