Our client, a large consolidated health system with several hospitals, physician offices, and ambulatory surgery centers is in search of a high-performing and successful Vice President, Revenue Cycle for oversight of billing of patient revenue. This role is for a seasoned revenue cycle leader and considered an expert in billing. This position will be responsible have direct oversight of billing, vendor management, and denials management for patient revenue along with working with the c-suite on critical revenue cycle initiatives. The best candidate will have extensive experience working with multiple complex billing systems and been actively involved in system conversion, considered an expert in billing, and a strong leader and communicator.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Maximize organization’s financial performance by ensuring that the capture, billing and collection of patient revenue is accurate, efficient, within all compliance guidelines and timely. Develop and implement strategic plans and goals, collaboratively with key stakeholders to assess and improve the delivery of service excellence. Partner and work on system-wide initiatives to improve and strengthen the entirety of revenue cycle. Analyze all processes to look for innovative solutions to improve, streamline or build upon systems and processes.

Candidate must possess:

  • 10 years of progressive revenue leadership experience; must have experience working within revenue cycle within a health system.
  • Must be an expert in billing.
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a large complex organization preferred.
  • Strong ability to be agile and working in a lean environment.
  • Experience working with large, complicated billing systems – in a revenue cycle department with multiple billing systems in a large healthcare system.
  • Experience with system conversions.
  • Relocation available.
