We are working with a Boston based “Internet-of-Things” startup, one of VentureBeat's 11 Startups You Should Know About from YCombinator's 2015 Summer Demo Day, creating a cloud based, connected device system for the life sciences/drug discovery industry. Founded by a group of Ivy League / MIT graduates this product connects scientific equipment to the web, which allows scientists to remotely monitor experiments, receive alerts, and efficiently track data. This company is looking to revolutionize a multi-billion dollar industry that will ultimately aid in the discovery of medication for rare diseases.
They are looking for a Lead Node.js Engineer/Architect with experience creating and managing in an Amazon Web Services environment. This individual will be writing code that will connect hardware devices in labs to software allowing scientists to monitor and track experiments from anywhere while leading a small team in a cutting-edge market with real-world implications.
Knowledgeable with Node.js in a Linux environment
Experience building robust cloud infrastructure in an (AWS) Amazon Web Services (EC2) environment
Experience with DevOps (deployment, automation, QA, security operations/SecOps)
Full MEAN Stack (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js) development experience
AngularJS strengths are considered a plus
Life science, Biotech, embedded devices, and/or Internet of Things (IoT) experience would be considered a plus
Creative and innovative
Desire to work with a team aiding in drug discovery
Enjoy a fast paced environment - taking on new projects daily/weekly
Work well in a small, passionate team
